By this I mean a non digital camera. I own two and while I don't use them regularly I still like them. I just hate to pay for film development and film. I love the cameras I own though. I love my digital and it gets the lions share of my attention. I do so much with digital. It is easier for me to use my digital. There is no waiting, no film no hassle. When I get one card full I take it out and put in another one.

I just recently bought a digital camera--maybe 6 months ago or so. I still own my Canon AE1 camera and love it. I haven't used it in awhile though. The digital is so much more handy for taking pictures of my grandkids. But for those special pictures, I will use my regular camera. I have special lenses on it and it will take the picture I want without there being the delay that there is with digital. I love the digital for taking videos of the grandkids. I take more videos than I do stills with it. So I will continue to have use for both kinds. [capirani]
I haven't used a film camera in awhile, nor do I own one anymore, lol. I was hoping to buy one of those polaroids that pop out the picture right then, hopefully you know what I'm talking about, lol. But, I just recently learned they're not making those anymore! They've gone to just making digital ones! [mistakesss]
aw, lol :P I just have two digital ones. One half works, though, lol. I tend to prefer digital ones, because there's more you can do with them. I love getting tech stuff such as cameras/cell phones, because I love learning about all they can do and stuff, lol [mistakesss]
I don't own a film camera anymore. My hubby has one, doubt it is still in working condition. Our digital camera is not a good one, so we are planning to buy a new one soon. One which does not use so much battery, I hope. [SydneyHazelton]
Yes, but when I got my digital I gave it to my daughter. But she has never used it. I really like my digital camera. It is a little Pentax and when I get my pics I can just put them on the computer until I get them printed out and than I can take more pictures. My battery runs out before I ever run out of room on my card. Maybe I need another battery. [Ruthep]
Yes, I still own a non digital camera, though I haven't used it in a few years. blink My husband doesn't want to get rid of it because it is an SLR. As much as I like the quality of this camera, I don't care for the size of it. I like a camera that I can fit in my purse at any given moment and not having to worry about film is a big plus! happy [sacmom]
No, I didn't become a camera geek until after they started making pretty compact good digitals. The price sure has come down on them over the past few years while their bells and whistles have gotten better and better. Now almost anyone can take halfway decent photos and anyone can afford to be a photographer, whereas in the past I just don't think that was so. [drannhh]
I still have my old-fashioned film camera by canon. It's already outdated but Ilet the kids bring it during educational trips because I'm not comfortable letting them bring my digital cam for it might be stolen or got lost.cry I still find it very impressive when it comes to precision.happy [mjmlagat]
no i dont, but it's funny you brought htis up lol, i was cleaning one of the closets that i have been putting off for sometime now, so i finaly cleaned it yesterday since it was nice and sunny and cool weather.. i looked inside a brown box that looked like it was from the 1950's lmao. and i pulled out 2 35mm rolls and 1 110. i started to laugh and say to myself i wonder whats on these, my husband came by and saw the rolls in my hand and said "where are earth did u find those things" "they are ancient" lol...i used to love getting these developed, the exciment on how the pictures would come out...but now n days its allll digital, i own two digital cameras and yea they are better then film but if i had a choose i won't give up somethings from the past lol... thanks for sharing. I used to own a film camera and by reading your write out on this post, I am now wondering what happen to mine. I think I either gave it away or it got spoilt or it got lost because I moved 6 times. I have a canon ixus digital camera now. And yes it is most definitely more time saving and we get to delete the photo and take another shot if it's not nice. So easy. I think film cameras will become antique soonlol [eagle_f15]
A couple years ago I went out and bought a film SLR... even though I already owned a DSLR! I do use it every so often! Though I used it a lot more when I first got it than I do now! I have plans to set up my own darkroom one day. I'm sure when I do that, I'll be using my film camera a lot more! I definitely prefer digital for so many reasons, but I do enjoy shooting on film too every now and then! [trickiwoo]
i sold my film cameras cause i dont use it anymore. i already have my digicam and i prefer using it. [kayeshayne21]
The last time I used a used a film camera was back in 2003. I went on vacation to Washington D.C, and forgot my camera at home; so I had to buy one of those disposable cameras. [know21]
I'm glad I'm not the only one :-). I think I have four film cameras including two SLRs. However, I haven't used them in years as now I have a digital SLR and I am wondering what to do with my old cameras. [Zmugzy]
You pack them up securly and mail them to me....only half kidding here. I love cameras and cannot part with any of mine. [sweetdesign]
I've always liked photography although I never got into it. My father had a few really old time cameras like the ones with a whole fold in section and he and his family took endless small black and white photos. I personally don't own a camera but if I had the money I'd get a new updated digital. There are so many advantages to these latest digitals. [Bluepatch]
I still have and use a film camera. own one mamiya film camera [zykon84]
I actually still have a panoramic, 35mm and a waterproof camera that still take film. I much prefer the digital though. I just send the pictures for processing and can pick out the ones I really want over having pictures developed that are over exposed or just plain dumb. [teetee195]
Yes and we almost never use it. Hopefully the stuff that's posted online isn't lost forever when the internet crashes... [dawnald]
I don't have film camera. I use digital camera and my cellphone camera to catch picture I like. I usually like to catch picture that I found interesting to me like beautiful butterfly. [ravinder18]
It's really easier to use digital cameras and you could edit the pictures you took before you develop them. In instamatic cameras, you need to be a good photographer to come up with a beautiful shot and yes using film for developing is really a hassle. I'd prefer digital cameras, but still film cameras are classic and great, too. Good day sweet!rolleyes [djoyce71]
No, when we owned one which was way back then, my mom always had control over it. I didn't even now how to work the film! When I was old enough I got my first digital camera which I think is way better. Of course, my digital camera is now an outdated version so I have to buy a new one. I'm hoping to earn more enough money online and just buy myself good camera around December. :) Hopefully I can make it!!! [mimico]
I use a digital too. But I still have to go and print my pix the old fashion way. I still like to keep the disc and share with friends but mainly I print them all out and organize them in an album. Yes I forget easily so it is best that those pix are printed for my photo albums. I have so many boxes of pix that I hope when my kids are grown up I have money and time to learn and do book scrapping. [ch88ss]
Yes i own a film camera. But dont really use it all the time. I love them. But i mostly use digital. I mean its easy to take pictures. And you can just store them on your computer or flash drive. :) [Sean_Jean]
I dont own either of the two i mean i dont own a normal film camera or a digital camera , i have camera attached in my cell phone and it is enough for me because i need not carry a camera for this and it is very handy and i donot fear for losing it and im just comfortable with this cell phone camera i can even take prints and upload it in my pc too.. but then my guy will get me on digital camera within two months he said it also has the feature of taking videos.. i dont know whether it is true or not.. is there any digital camera with video saving feature? [shana123]
I still have a couple of cameras that are film cameras. I never use them because it is just so much easier to do digital and it saves so much money. I still have rolls of film laying around my apartment that I need to get developed. [hcromer]
Ever since I bought my digi cam 6yrs ago, never botheres with film camera again. Only time I do is when I buy a couple disposables for my daughter when she goes to camp every summer. I have them put on disk instead of prints. Cheaper and not paying for crappy pics. [blackbriar]
I went to Africa a couple of years ago with a Canon EOS 5 SLR (film) and a Panasonic FZ20 digital (4 mp 12x zoom). I took about the same number of pictures with each. Since then the Canon has sat in the cupboard gathering dust. Oddly, I also still have my first film SLR (bought in 1962, but I haven't used that in a couple of years either. But I can't bring myself to sell either...the thought makes me feel...disloyal! [Davidarich]
The thought of selling (or trashing or giving away or whatever) either of my film SLR's and thier lenses makes me queazy I just can't do it. they are my friends and mine and even though I don't use them often they are mine!LOL. [sweetdesign]
