whistleI love using digital cameras, I can take tonnes of photos and upload them onto my computer. I must have taken like nearly 200 photos in last week of my new baby. I also like to create slide shows them with the photos and put music in the background and special effects. I still however like to print some photos and put them in a album to show people. I also have a digital photoframe which is awesome to upload photos on there and display in the lounge room.
How about you do you prefer to use cameras with films and have hard copies of your photos? Or do you like to use digital photos and upload them onto your computer? What else do you like doing with your photos, do you do scrapbooking?

I like to use a digital camera. Sometimes my photo's do not turn out how I would like them to. It is so easy to delete them and take another. I also find the digital much better as we do not have to pay to have our photos developed. When I only had a camera with film, I asked my son to take 4 photos of his kids. Well he used the entire roll, I was not very happy. At least if I had the digital then, I could have deleted the ones I did not want. [Goodie123]
Yes it is great to be able to delete photos that you don't like on digital, plus it is a bonus that you don't have to pay for development and you can print your own photos at home. Thanks for your response Goodie. [kiran1978]
i started using a digital camera a few years ago and have never gone back to using a film camera for all the reasons you mentioned. it was kind of hassle to have those films developed and the negatives added to the clutter. even with digital camera i can still have hard copies of my photos if i want to and it's pretty convenient. i can place the order online and have the prints ready at the nearest store in a couple of hours (i use Walgreens which is a drug store chain in the US). [aidenw]
Hi aiden, I have not tried placing orders online, I should remember that for next time I want to print photos. That is definately more convenient. Thanks for your comments. [kiran1978]
I haven't used a regular camera with film in so long. Like 1997... Since then it's been digital all the way. It's easier to amass tons of digital photos without needing too much physical storage. You can make changes and get creative with digital images. [michelyn]
happyYeah digital is good to make changes to such as taking the red eyes out. Did not like that with old cameras many shots wasted with red eyes. Thanks for your response. [kiran1978]
Hi kiran i have both ans uses both [cupid74]
happyI have recently acquired a new digital camera. I love to take photographs with my camera. Since I have been gifted that camera by my wife, I carry it with me on every important occasion and do not forget to take photograph of say parties, marriages and other such functions and when we come back from the function, we all site together and enjoy those moments through photographs. Photography is my hobby for quite a long time. Earlier, I used to take photographs with my film camera and used to enjoy those photographs. Wherever I would visit, I made it a point to take photographs of that place and then used to get it developed and paste it in my album. I have numerous albums and when I am feeling upset and bore, I just open those albums to cheer myself up. Now a days, even mobile phone with a camera is also one of the options for taking photographs. However, I find that print-outs of 1.3 Mega pixel camera are not so good. Good Post! [dpk262006]
happyThanks for your encourging and quick comments on my response. You can view some of my photographs on my profile, if you feel like. Thanks again for accepting my request. [dpk262006]
I prefer keeping my photos in my computer. Photography has been my hobby since some three to four years from now. I take photographs of almost anything beautiful or strange. Some of them include a dog sleeping on a tree, where it got because of some reason I don't know. I saw it when I was on trekking to the woods. Another one was one when we were having a treat at my friend's birthday. The arrangement of the glasses were such that it deserved a snap. I literally take snaps of anything I look upon. I love photography as a whole. [amitaliasb2]
I like using digital cameras, as they turn out to be inexpensive than the film models. I use a Canon Powershot S2IS, how many of you use this camera? [rohit0471]
I use both. I have a digital camera but every now and then i will buy one of those disposable cameras so that I can add pictures to my photo albums. I have had problems with loosing data on my old computer so i like to have a back up. [sheric529]
I use digital cameras. The last time i used the film camera about five years back. Digital cameras are so easy to use, you can upgrade your memory and take videos too. Digital cameras are so user friendly that we can delete the photos we don't need. We can adjust the settings with easy clicks. So many functions which was available for high cost in the film cameras are available now for low cost. Thats how technology advances. The lastest video cameras too are amazing with hard disk memory attached. [benoy85]
I have a digital camera, and up until recently I was always taking photos of the kids and everything, but I seem to have less and less time to take them. Plus I have been uploading them to the computer and I have stacks on there, and I just have not got the time to do anything with them. I usually like to print them off and send them to family or put them into books and tell a story with them. Also my 2 year old daughter is at the horrible age where everytime she comes across anything like that she will rip it up, and so I am leaving doing anything with them until she grows out of it. Hope all is well still with you and your new little one. [gemini_rose]
I still use both, but since using digital camera is much cheaper than that of the one that uses film, I now use digital camera more often. I copy film and digital camera pictures to CD and we enjoy viewing them on computer. As well as it is much easier to upload to online profiles when stored to CD... and yes, I do scrapbooking. [idaantipolo]
yes its very nice to use digitals camereas and ii good in a weekend :P to make pphotos [adytza20]
I agree I use a digital camera and wonder how we lived without it in times before. It is so easy and the photo is right there so if you dont' like how it turns out you just delete it and take another. I down load the pics onto the computer and then send to the drug store where they print them for 19 cents each, get them the same day. They will also put them on a cd for you for $2. remember how much it used to cost to get a roll of film developed. And you took what you got no matter how the pics turned out. I have a camcorder but I couldn't live with out my digital camera now adays. [bdugas]
i love my digi camera! i have a canon 350D and love to take piccies of the kids. i have a printer that i print out pics and frame them. i love the idea of a digi photoframe. is that expensive? [axle_shockhits]
I think it is the best thing that ever happened. Well, in taking photos, anyway. We have 2 digital cameras right now, and I like the fact that I can review my shots before printing them, than waiting for my film to be processed and be surprised on how the photos turned out. [onewickedsoul]
I honestly can't remember I used a camera that took film. It has been years. I only use digital cameras. I have started a scrapbook for the baby but I am not good at keeping up with it. I have pictures on my laptop hard drive and also on 3 different external hard drives. I have them on flickr and on myspace. I have photos all over the place! happy [moneyandgc]
Hey Kiran, I use digital camera and have been using digital for almost 10 years and have loved it, the pictures can be transmitted via email, and they can be stored on CD and be taken to just about any place and printed out. I used to take scads and scads of film rolls and lost scads and scads of roles of film because I couldn't afford to get them developed. And one thing I have to say right now with digital, you know if an image will be worth saving or not saving. with film you may think it will come out but you won't know until that roll is developed. The other thing about film cameras, your top 35mm camera makers while they are still putting out film have stopped making film cameras. They say that film will be produced as long as there is a demand for it....but I see that demand going down as digital cameras become cheaper and cheaper. Mooch [oneandonemakesix]
i use a nikon d50 digital camra , i take to may pics for me to use film, i have so may pics i coild ue them all as wall paper all over my house, and still have a whole bunch left over , i scrap book infact all 3 of my kids have there own from when i was pregnet with them up until now, i even made my unborn daughter one that i will continue until its full , i have like 20 scrapbooks and a whole lot of pics that i have no place to put right now . [psychotaz]
i use digital camera, because i dont need to spend money, and i like create a effects and give to my friends, its nice gift [darvulia]
Digital, but mine is old and either needs repair, or else I need a new one. Like you, I find them easier. My daughter is really into photography and she is more of a purist. She has the old style film, and she'd have a darkroom if she could. [Anhedonia]
I used to use cameras with film and get all the pictures developed and throw away most of them as they turned out badly, but now I use my digital camera. I take lots of photos when I go for nights out or on holidays then I upload them to my social networking sites and blogs for my friends to view and share them. I also store them onto CDs for later viewing, and only get a few of them printed. Digital cameras are good though because at least you can delete the ones that did not turn out the way you wanted them too and you can retake an image as amny times as you want. [LauraT2008]
w00tHi Laura thanks for your repsonse, yes we save lots of money using digitals as we are not throwing away prints that did not turn out. Yes I also love how you can download photos on social network sites and share them with friends and family. Happy snapping!! [kiran1978]
I have a digital camera to,and I am very happy because I do not give any money to print the photos and it is more easly for me to upload them onto my computer and print them very fast. [yonutzu]
happyYes I agree digitals are the way to go, very convenient being able to print them straight away rather then waiting for them to be printed at shop and then paying for them. Thanks for your response. [kiran1978]
I use digital camera.I think it's easy to use and you can directly upload your pictures in the computer. [giePortlandOR_08]
