responses and comments:

Hello there. One of the most disturbing movies I've watched is called Nightmare Detective. It's a Japan film about 2 guys who have the ability to enter dreams. One is a bad guy and the other one a good guy. The bad guy makes use of his ability to go into people's dream to commit murder. His victims appear to have committed suicide instead of being murdered. They stab themselves in their sleep and the scene is bloody. I forgot the director's name. But I find this movie too bloody. [poohgal]
Thanks a lot for your contribution, Ravenladyj! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

I've heard from friends "HOSTEL" was very disturbing. That's why I didn't watch it, hehehe. But there is this Nicolas Cage flick "8 MM" which I did watch. I find the subject matter (snuff films) and the story very disturbing. It didn't show too much violence, only suggestions of it - but it was very effective in bothering me 'til night time (I found myself lying in bed wide awake, trying to erase what I've watched). Also, there's The Exorcist (old one and new one) for reasons of creepiness. ..... and any movie with Paris Hilton in it is extremely disturbing. Hehehe. [overdosed]
Thanks a lot for sharing your views and Happy myLotting, Ravenladyj! ;) [acmepride]

Thirteen; it's a movie that's filled with drugs, self-destruction, and sex. That wouldn't be so bad except the movie doesn't have a proper story, it's just drugs-sex-selfdestruction-thef... It's a crappy movie, and kinda disturbing because they show the 13 yr olds doing everything, with no censoring. [liperoterachel]
Whoa!shocked That really seems intensely disturbing. I'm quite sure almost any film that would involve sex, rape, killing, and young kids would tend to disturb most who would watch it. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts and Happy myLotting, darkangel079! [acmepride]

"Copycat" starting sigourney weaver. i dont know who was the director but for me this is the most disturbing film i watched so far. [roniroxas]
bonbon and roni, thanks a lot for openly sharing your sentiments as regards Copycat! Happy myLotting to both of you! ;) [acmepride]

Well I'm a fan of documentary films, but I don't watch and am not aware to all of them. I only watch I can and whenever I have time, since I need to be in the mood to stay totally focused on the film. I've seen the infamous "Cannibal Holocaust" but I don't really know the real story behind it, since I haven't had much time research if the events that occured there where really true. But it seems really true, so I didn't pursue to make a research of it because it's a gruesome film and that I really got disturbed by it.. [raijin]
I perfectly understand, raijin. I would just scour through the net to find relevant info about Cannibal Holocaust. Schindler's List is indeed a great World War II film and it really moved me. It really made me feel like I was likewise in that dark time in our history, experiencing the soul-crushing agony that Holocaust victims were experiencing then. Thanks for recommending it, though, raijin! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

The first movie to pop into my head was, Hostel. This said, i don't think it was a particually good movie, fx were a bit naff, and you don't really see much, it's more implied. What makes it disturbing is the whole idea, Eli Roth your a very sick man lol Don't think i'll watch the 2nd. The only thing I've ever watched thats disturbed me big time isn't a movie but a short clip on rotton.com. A so called friend thought they'd show me, and i was completly unaware of what i was about to be subjected too. I won't go into it apart from to say, it upset me so much i couldn't see anything other than the image and would periodically burst into tears. [twilight_75]
I believe that I've seen this clip already, and I fully agree that the fact that such condemnable beheading was real only made it all the more disturbing. [acmepride]

For me, Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the most disturbing movie that I ever watched. It took me a couple of nights to go to sleep peacefully. I don't know but it seems like it's haunting me in my dreams. I think it was the brutality and the plot itself that frightens and disturbs me a lot. After watching it, I did wished I listened to my friends and not watched it. Horror movies, The Ring and The Grudge, bothers me also for sometime but not really the same effect with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. [MarieJ23]
Texas Chainsaw Massacre was really chilling and it was simply morbid, to say the least. It truly must have had a disturbing effect on you because it even took you a couple of nights to go to sleep peacefully. To help out the other myLotters who would be actively participating in this discussion, would you be so kind to share how you were able to effectively get rid of the film's negative effect on you after just a couple of nights? The Ring and The Grudge are agreeably bothersome movies, too, but such are not at par with Texas Chainsaw Massacre, to my mind, especially in terms of its disconcerting impact. Thanks for further enriching this discussion through your much appreciated contribution, MarieJ23! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

The most disturbing film I watch. Hills have eyes and hitcher. Hills have eyes and hitcher after watching those movies, I am now scared of travelling from unknown places. When we pass some one along the way trying to hitch or need some help, am hesitant to stop. Thinking that person does not really need help, and their real intention would be hurting us. [ggaaiill]
Being wary of hitchhiking could perhaps be one of the effective indicators that such a movie really tremendously affected you. If I may ask, though, ggaaiill, who directed "Hills have eyes and hitcher," if you know? Thanks a lot for your honest response and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

That would have to be The Passion of the Christ by Mel Gibson. Although the movie tells the story of my Lord, I found it difficult to watch how Jesus Christ was tortured. He underwent unbelievable pain and suffering. Thankfully the movie ended on the resurrection. [wisedragon]
Ingkingderders, given that "Apocalypto" outpopped lol Passion of the Christ, not to mention you opted not to finish it, I can only imagine how truly disturbing you consider it to be. I guess I have to see for myself one of these days. Thanks for your contribution and Happy myLotting! [acmepride]

8mm, and I don't even want to talk about it. I'm sorry I ever saw it. I believe the director was Joel Schumacher, but I'm not completely sure. It starred Nicolas Cage. [AmbiePam]
I completely understand, AmbiePam. Thanks a lot for your candor and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

this is an easy one... anything catagorized as a horror film...nope no can do, I can read crime books, and I can read books that can get gruesome, but I can not watch horror films... I can not think of any off the top of my head, but any horror flick will give me nightmares. Mooch [oneandonemakesix]
I'm really glad that you find this to be an easy one, oneandonemakesix. Some horror films are obviously quite disturbing and I perfectly understand why you exhibit a sense of revulsion towards such kinds of movies. If ever you could think of a particular horror film, which truly disturbed you the most, though, could you kindly share it to us? Thanks a lot and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

The most disturbing movie I saw was Looking for Mr. Goodbar. I don't remember the director, but Diane Keeton and Richard Geer stared in it. It was one of their earlier works. I didn't get the opportunity to watch it till I was in my 30's so had plenty of other movies under my belt, but non that sat with me the way this one did. I was about a woman who was expieremting in her sexuality, with several different partners. She met a creepy guy and they see each other off and one. There is a very violent rape murder sence that ends the movie. It was terrible, pure horror. I think the time period that this movie was made sent a statement about casual sex. It was a very serious, scary message. That was the most distrubing movie I've ever seen. [ljegbers]
I could not agree more that the real possibility that what you've seen on the silver screen would happen in real life is simply scary. Your sharing, I must say, only heightens my interest in regard Mr. Goodbar. Thanks a lot and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

There are two movies that stick out in my mind as the most disturbing films I have seen. 8MM with Nicolas Cage and Juaquin Pheonix and The Audition (Japanese Horror Film). Those two films really bothered me when I watched them. [mamasan34]
May I ask what led you to say that "8mm is the sh*t," smileymom?happy Thanks a lot and Happy myLotting! [acmepride]

the most disturbing film i have seen i have to say is "requirm for a dream" i forgot the directors name. but the movie is about how drug addiction can destroy lives..valuable lesson taught there. [smileymom]
It's perfectly understandable for you to freak out, smileymom, simply because such disturbing scene is really freaky. Anyway, thanks a lot for your usual good comment and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Hmm...I have seen so many films. Some horror films are disturbing. It is hard for me to say was is the most disturbing. There is an older movie called Clockwork Orange...that was pretty disturbing. Good movie, I enjoyed. I recent movie I watched and found to be disturbing is "Perfume." The storyline was disturbing...but I have to admit it was a beautifully made film. Very well done. Beautiful imagery and art direction. [matteo85]
Thanks a lot for providing such pertinent details, matteo85! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Titanic,I find it really disturbing that the director thought de caprio could act,and dion could sing. [jimboroars]
That's indeed really disturbing in a funny sort of way, jimboroars! lol... Thanks for the comic relief and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Titanic. James Cameron directed it. It wouldn't have been so bad except for the soundtrack. I still have nightmares that cause me to wake up in the night, sweating profusly as I hear those screeches in my head. [VoteforPedro]
Good one, indeed.lol Stay active and Happy myLotting! [acmepride]

hello acmepride,I'll have to say among all the movie I've watched so far,the most disturbing film would be "The Hills Have Eyes".Director:Alexandre Aja.Erk,that film just makes me sick! [sugarfloss]
Hello there, sugarfloss! The Hills Have Eyes seems to be intriguing and I would certainly try to search for a copy of one to essentially see how sickening it truly is. Thanks for your very nice post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

There was never really a movie that disturbed or sort of haunted me because I know, for a fact, that there are a lot of exaggerations. Movies that depict true-to-life events of World War II crimes of Nazis and Japanese, are those that make me think. It's more on how soldiers were brainwashed by their leaders, to do those dastardly acts. It is very uncomfortable to imagine that a group of men would have a common interest in making those heinous war crimes, if they were not influenced by their leaders. [rbnstr08]
I do get your point, rbnsts08. Depiction of such war atrocities, especially those involving conspiracy, in movies would certainly make anyone think. Among such similarly themed films you've watched so far, though, which really made you think or affected you the most? Who directed it, if any? Thanks a lot and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

The most disturbing films for me were Peewee Herman and the teletubbies. the sun with a baby's face on it, aliens living in a valley with nothing but rabbits and they seem to like thrusting their hips forward and showing off their tummies with TV sets on them. before this show I only used to see these things in my dreams when I've had a little too much to eat. and then there's Peewee herman a grown man who likes wearing make-up and doing very immature things. "daig pa kaya si Jacko" The writers/directors that made them seem to be on a bad acid trip. [anaknitatay]
I'm only too glad to have provided you guys with an enjoyable topic. Thanks again and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

In terms of grown up movies...The Blair Witch Project, 8mm, and V for Vendetta stand out for disturbing me. The previews for The Hitcher bothered me enough that I refuse to watch the movie. There are others but their titles escape me now. On the disturbing children's programming theme- Sponge Bob Square Pants, BooBahs, Teletubbies, The Wiggles, and The Upside Down Show. [foxyfire33]
You're now officially included in the growing list of myLotters who were really disturbed by 8 mm, foxyfire33. I haven't seen Blair Witch Project yet, but a lot of people have told me that it's actually quite disturbing. Who directed it, by the way? In regard the disturbing children's programming theme, on the other hand, to be frank, I haven't seen any of it yet. Would such children's programs still be disturbing for an adult, though? Thanks a lot and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Hostel is by far the most disturbing movie I've ever seen. It's jam packed with grotesque action and bloody gore. I got shivers watching that movie. Ewww.... [AeroChickie]
I could only fully agree with you, AeroChickie. Thanks for your concise post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

For me the most disturbing movie I have ever seen was In The Mouth of Madness. I cannot even begin to tell you why it upset me so much, but I had nightmares for months after watching it. Another movie that really freaked me out was Event Horizon. Interesting that both films starred Sam Neill. Maybe it is him that disturbs me and not the movies. Something to ponder. I was a bit disturbed by 8MM but not like I was over the two I mentioned above. Those two still give me the creeps just thinking about them. [vokey9472]
Sam Neill may very well be the one who really "upset you so much" and "freaked you out," vokey9472. lol... Do you know who directed In The Mouth of Madness and Event Horizon? By the way, just FYI, you're now also officially included in the growing list of myLotters who found 8 mm disturbing. Thanks a lot for your very fine post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

For me the most disturbing film I have ever seen is Bad Boy Bubby, I don´t remember who the director was but it is about a boy who lives with his abusing mother. [kristrunyr]
Any movie with a theme involving abuse, particularly those between parents and children, are certainly very disturbing, kristrunyr. Thanks a lot for sharing a piece of your mind and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

i don't know if this is the most disturbing yet, but this is recently the most disturbing film I've seen. It's called Perfume: the Story of a Murderer. I just can't imagine how someone who seemed so innocent can kill without really getting guilty just to achieve his goal. [aracir]
It seems like the character in Perfume you're referring to is a quintessential Machiavellian, resorting to any means, be it moral/legal/legitimate/ethical or not, to ultimately attain his ends. I would truly try to obtain a copy of such film to essentially see why you find it "the most disturbing film" you've seen. Thanks for your sensible post, aracir! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

I must agree with several others who have mentioned Hostel and The Hills Have Eyes. Psycho still bothers me to this day, I have a fear of taking a shower if I'm not absolutely sure the doors are all locked...lol Two other older movies I found disturbing were Coma and Soylent Green. Sorry, I don't recall the directors of either of these. Annie [anniepa]
Need not apologize, anniepa--no harm done. By the way, which between the two Psycho films are you pertaining to? Alfred Hitchcock's or Gus Van Sant's? Could you likewise kindly give me a very brief overview of Coma and Soylent Green? Thanks a lot for your great post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

The move called "HOSTEL" is the most disturbing movie I have ever seen. All that torture being done on humans by other humans was just sick! I had no idea that movie was going to be like that. I had a hard time getting over that movie. And I'm 25 and I couldn't sleep! UGH! It's nasty and I regret watching it! I also heard there was a HOSTEL 2 coming??????? And then the movies SAW! I watched all the SAW movies, it's pretty sick, but for some reason I keep watching, but I can't watch it alone. LOL! But HOSTEL is the one I feel shouldn't even have been made! [Foxxee]
If ever you do, have tons of "scary and sick" fun, Foxxee! Thanks a lot for your relevant post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Open Water is a disturbing film. No forboding music, no big budget, but it just really gets at you. It was written and directed by Chris Kentis. There were no major stars to distract you. Go see it. [houndsgood]
vokey9472, thank you for sharing your honest appreciation of Open Water! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

hi acmepride. If you can find the documentary film "Faces of Death", then I assure you, once you watch it, you'll never want to watch it again. This was a film that I literally felt sick to my stomach. Not only was it VERY disturbing, it was horrible. I couldn't remember who directed it but it involved a doctor who wanted to show the people the many "faces of death". Now, this film should not be viewed by people who has a weak stomach for goriness. Because it is gory and it happened in real life. I won't go into details of the most horrific scene I witnessed in that film anymore. But as I'm typing these words, I can remember again those disturbing scenes and I feel sick again. [jcj_111776]
It's not exactly themed like Schindler's List, jcj_111776. To my mind, it's more like the denial of the existence of Gas Chambers, which were purportedly used during the dreadful Holocaust. It's a good documentary, nonetheless. Try to watch it, if you want, and you may find it to be interesting. Thanks for contributing to this discussion and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Hi there acme its me again, I think the most disturbing film I have ever watched and certainly gives me goose bumps thinking about it is...HEMOGLOBIN!!! Its in the freaky, scary disgusto meter...right beyond the eew and the "hurl!!" The movie is about a town inhabited by people who are unknowingly loving on top of a population of cannibalistic malformed inbred exaristocrat humans. In the past embalmed corpses were their diet, but when the small Island town moved their cemetery to the main land it cut off the source of food to these monsters. They begin feeding on the living, these eat people while they are still alive and maul them to death and feed on them then and there. Its really disturbing to watch I couldnt sleep for weeks!! Please watch it whoa it'll scare you really! [nielcdg]
Hemoglobin seems to really be extremely disturbing, especially since, as you've said, it's "the most disturbing film I have ever watched and certainly gives me goose bumps thinking about it." Personally, though, I feel that this particular movie seems to be quite similar to The Evil Dead because it also involves creatures that "eat people while they are still alive and maul them to death and feed on them then and there." It's actually a trilogy of immensely disgusting goriness. If you have not watched it yet, and if you have the stomach to watch it, then try to. Thanks for your very animated post, niel! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

"Irreversible" ,I found this film to be the MOST disturbing film i have ever seen. Rape/revenge run backwards, extremely stylish, but EXTREMELY DISTURBING. [t_sireesha04]
I must agree with you on this one, t_sireesha04. Gaspar Noe's films are quite extremely disturbing. If you haven't watched I Stand Alone yet, I suggest that you do, only if you could stomach it. If you want to have an idea of what I Stand Alone is generally about, kindly read my review of it here: http://www.reviewstream.com/reviews/?p=22149 By the way, if you find my review helpful, in any way, please vote for it. Thanks a lot for your wonderful contribution and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

the most recent disturbing film that i have watched is hard candy. sorry, i forgot the name of the director but i think you already know this. it is disturbing for me because it deals with pedophilia and being psychotic. i don't know 'bout you guys but i find it reeeally disturbing. [panicdude]
Thanks for your straight to the point comment, matteo85! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

I only saw a part of it by accident when I was switching channels on TV. Salò: The 120 Days Of Sodom 1975 Director: Pier Paolo Pasolini Cast: Paolo Bonacelli, Giorgio Cataldi Novel: The Marquis De Sade It was aired on national tv (it is possible here since I do not live in the US) unbelievable it contains the most disgusting perversions that even P-films hardly ever show. I won't go into detail but it can't get worse than that. Repulsive? Disgusting? Disturbing? Reprehensible? Vile? Those are pretty accurate words as well. No film has ever turned my stomach into nauseating knots as this one did. Believe it or not, it's praised in some critical circles. The most mind-boggling thing is how Passolini's "Salo" is praised. For what? It's utterly senseless and nauseating. I'm serious, I really felt like throwing up , and had to turn away. If you haven't seen it don't see it will make you sick for the rest of your life [onedollar]
Your description of this deplorably puke-inducing sadistic film is truly pretty accurate, onedollar. To my mind, this is by far the most disturbing film I've ever had the misfortune of watching. I particularly find the forcible eating of fecal matter, to borrow your words, "utterly senseless and nauseating." I would like to warn those who have not seen it yet to heed the advice of onedollar: "don't see it will make you sick for the rest of your life." Thanks so much for your excellent contribution and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

As a teenager I loved horror films, still do, and I couldn't get enough of them, however I watched Fly 2 and I found it sickening, horrific and it actually gave me nightmares I think the director was Chris Walas put it this way it put me off watching horror films for years! Even now into my late thirties I still can't bear to see that film. Ewww it was sick and very very disturbing indeed! [wolfie34]
Given that it was already Fly 2, would it be correct to say that it's a sequel of Fly, if ever there was one, wolfie34? For a horror film enthusiast to say that such a movie "actually gave me nightmares" and "put me off watching horror films for years," only clearly exhibits how terribly disturbing this particular movie actually is. I would certainly try to get a good copy of it so that I could really decide for myself how "sick and very very disturbing" it truly is. Thanks for your great post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

The most disturbing movie I have watched is Ju On,a Japanese movie. What terrify me most is the scene that when the scared leading actor huddled herself into her bed,the ghost come out from the cloth. That night I was scared and daren't to go to bed. The next day was the same. The Amerrican movies terrify me by vision, but Japanese movies terrify me on mind. It's more horriable. [tujiagirl]
That particular scene was really undeniably terrifying, tujiagirl. To be honest, though, I find your statement, "American movies terrify me by vision, but Japanese movies terrify me on mind," quite cryptic. For my enlightenment, could you kindly explain this specific point? Thanks a lot and Hpapy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Acmepride, among all the movies I've watched so far, I find "American History X" as the most disturbing because it is also the most violent movie I've watched so far. Directed by Tony Kaye, the movie deals about racial descrimination and Edward Norton, the movie's lead star, gave justice to his role as a Neo-Nazi. [erickrubio]
I must agree with your appreciation of American History X, erick. It could truly pass as easily one of the most disturbing films ever made, not only because of its Neo-Nazi theme, but also because of the brutality in it. Thanks a lot for your very nice post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

The most disturbing movie I have seen is The Exorcist, the way Linda Blair's head turns around is very scary, and how the Devil was able to take the lives of the two priests. I guess because suicide is a sin, makes it even more horrific. The young priest threw himself out the window. [suspenseful]
The violent twisting and turning of Linda Blair's head and the circumstances surrounding that freaky incident in the film were indeed very scary, suspenseful. Thanks for your fine post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

"Irreversible" stands out as the most disturbing that I've seen. As some one else has replied, it's stylish, but the violence and rape are very shocking for their brutality and sense of authenticity. [bravenewworld]
Shocking even seems to be an understatement, to my mind, at least. By the way, nice user name, bravenewworld. Thanks for your honest post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

I know of two that i have seen. One is The Killing Fields and the other is Shindler's List! They both are about war and the atrocities done to humans by humans! I know it is still happening today, but these movies made me take notice, so i've become more grateful for what i have and more helpful towards others! Take care Acmepride. [budsr03]
Thanks a lot for clearly responding to my question, budsr03! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

SOrry i dont know the director of the movie. but it was terrible for me to watch it. the most disturbing movie is Bad Taste & BrainDead. both movies were so bad. i dont know why director create this type of movie. In both movie people are eating other people. full of blood and bones. i hate both the movie. have you watch Bad Taste and BrainDead ? [drupadmathur]
Need not apologize, drupadmathur--no harm done. I haven't watched such movies yet, but if both of it are truly "full of blood and bones" and involve people "eating other people," I'm pretty sure that such are really disturbing. I would try to look for good copies of such films to finally get the chance to watch such. Thanks for your fine post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

the name of film which is most disturbing can not be remembered. but the context is in mind for a long time . a film which is perfect is worthy watch three times. but the film which is disturbing has made me to watch more then three times although i cann't to finish it every time. after watching more than three times i know nothing about it. it likes a story within good-heart person. it drives me mad . i found i hate it at last. [buliangxianren]
That movie truly seems disturbing, especially since, as you've clearly shared, buliangxianren, "after watching more than three times i know nothing about it." By the way, for the benefit of the participants of this discussion, could you kindly share the title of such a perplexing film and who directed it, if ever you could remember such information already? Thanks a lot in advance and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Disturbia! That's the first thing that came into my mind coz it's also the latest movie i saw.. I am not sure of the director but the star of the movie was the kid who was also the actor in The Transformers movie. [livvy092002]
Thanks a lot for sharing your opinion, livvy092002! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

i think the one that comes to mind at the moment is "hostel." i checked it out because i thought it would be a scary movie, but it wasnt really scary at all. instead, it was quite disturbing! it was just disgusting, and the thought of something like that happening is so disturbing. but it certainly wasnt a movie that kept me up to night or anything. another disturbing movie is "the exorcist." that movie was just freaky! i wish they edited out all the boring parts though because the rest could make it a really scary movie, but it just has too much downtime. [pagli84]
I would tend to agree with you that both movies were indeed disturbing, pagli84. Thanks a lot for your valuable contribution to this discussion and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

I'd go through the other 5 pages of replies but I just dont have it in me right now (though I'm sure I will tomorrow)...this is a difficult question for me for two reasons...what others most likely consider "disturbing" isnt to me...For example movies like 8MM, Hostel, Strangeland etc really dont disturb me in fact I LOVE movies like that! LOL but thats just me..Movies that I DO find disturbing others may not...I don't however find them disturbing in the sense of "eew thats gross"..I find them disturbing because they are based on REAL LIFE/TRUE STORIES and to know that the (bad) ppl like what are shown in these movies exist or that the situations show really happened.. disturbs, upsets and/or bothers me to know end...Some of those flicks would be Soldiers Girl Boys Don't Cry Hotel Rwanda Girl Interrupted Laramie Project Monster Ghosts of Missippi Missippi Burning Gia Party Monster (which is actually pretty funny but the true story behind it is sad) and the list goes on..... [Ravenladyj]
Among the movies you consider disturbing, Ravenladyj, I was only able to watch Boys Don't Cry, Hotel Rwanda, Laramie Project, and Gia. Could you kindly share to us the directors of the other disturbing films you've mentioned, if possible, and if it would not cause you any inconvenience, could you please likewise provide a very brief background for each film? Thanks a lot in advance and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Both of Rob Zombies films."House of a 1000 Corpses" and "Devils Rejects".The characters are just so weird and real. The way these people torture ang kill people is just so out there that it is scary. [cipher2004]
I'll surely check this movies out very soon. Thanks a lot for your much appreciated post, cipher2004! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

I would have to say the most disturbing movie that I have seen so far is Kill Bill Series. There is too much bloodshed for me and my stomach to take. It is too gruesome. I only saw the first one and that was too much for me to watch. Schindlers List was another movie that was very disturbing to me and could not watch the whole movie. [kgwat70]
You could definitely say that about Kill Bill and Schindler's List, kgwat70. Thanks a lot for your fine post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Hello my friend acmepride Ji, I had a chance to see that great picture 'MERA NAM JOKAR' directed by great showman of Indian Cinema 'RAJ-KAPOOR'. It is a great picture, which has been disturbing me that how a person can remain under cool and idle condition, when he knows that his mother had expired, it is simply contradicting in one's feeling. It allows one to overcome feelings. Even to start with salient love for a student towards his teacher is yet disturbing, how staudent can have that kind of love towards his teacher. It is a great picture, showing multi aspects of our lives. have a nice time. [chintoo07]
Based on your appreciation of that particular movie alone, chintoo07, I could easily see how perplexing it really actually is. If I may ask, though, is this film's spoken language in English? If not, is its subtitles in English? Thanks a lot in advance and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

i was just flipping channels when i came across star movies. the film just started, so i decided to watch it. i didn't see the title, much less the director or the actors' names. the movie was about a girl who's doing her thesis. she chose the topic of cannibalism. (there was a popular event of cannibalism a few years back, so she had a specific one.) she joined the forums, and did a lot of research. and finally she got a copy of the video showing how a man ate another man. with the 2nd guy actually agreeing to that disgusting act. it was really horrible. the last scene showed the man, logging onto the forums and saying, "running out of meat. going to get some more." i started crying. (i'm feeling pretty teary-eyed right now, just talking about it.) i was thinking, how depressed could someone be, to actually walk to his death? to actually volunteer on how and when it will be done? i cried so hard i wasn't able to see the credits. [mesmerized]
I certainly would, mesmerized. Have a great day, too, and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

movies?LOL the most disturbing film i've ever watched are HOSTEL and SAW..you know why?coz of the scenes it can really makes you shout and makes you close your eyes not to see how they kill/play human LOL.better watch it and you may know what im trying to say.i forgot the directors.sorry! [chryss]
It's really ok, chryss. Thanks a lot for your good post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

the most disturbing film i have seen was hostel and the likes...i really dont like films which portrays gruesome, bloody hacking of body parts..cant remember the director though..but this film.. i will not recommend to anyone to see.. [vanities]
Thanks a lot for your honest post and recommendation, vanities! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

I watch a lot of scary/creepy/gory movies. So I don't get grossed out or jump that easily. But I will admit the SAW movies do it to me. I just don't like them. I find them disturbing. Mostly because of the almost reality to it. If real people where actually put into those types of situations, they might very well act like that. [mmmartin54]
I must say that I would tend to agree with your view, mmmartin54. Thanks a lot for your fine post and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

The japanese film entitled "doppelganger." It is really disturbing because of its eccentric and incoherent flow of story. I find it really weird. I wonder if most japanese films are like this. [mkcallejo]
Is the film's spoken language in Nihongo? If it is, does it have English subtitles? Who directed it, by the way? Thanks a lot in advance for your response to my questions! Happy myLotting, mkcallejo! ;) [acmepride]

the series od the movie 'saw' were the most disturbing..they leave a errie feeling after u watch them [anjalisk2005]
Perhaps countless of Saw viewers likewise understandably felt eerie after watching such a horribly gruesome film. Thanks a lot for your participation and Happy myLotting, anjalisk2005! ;) [acmepride]

mostly just the true horror/crime movies disturb me. like texas chainsawmasacre. i sneaked a viewing when it was on tv when i was a kid, have not had the nerve to watch the remake, my husband wants to watch it. i watched a movie on LMN a few weeks ago, The Baby Dance. it was a harsh ending, i dont remember if it was a true story or not, most likely it was being on LMN. but the baby was born with the cord wrapped around her neck and the adoptive parents did not take the baby because it might be retarted, and the mother just left her. it was so sad, i can't believe someone would walk away from a baby. [kimberlyjt]
Thanks a lot for clearing that out, kimberlyjt! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

well i don't usually watch horror or suspence but sometimes i do. well the most disturbing film for i have seen is The Mummy, Returns. well i think you will not find disturbing but i do. i think it's really scary though some people say no. it's really scary to see the bad people there. the mummies there are really scary. it is disturbing for me. well what you. what is your disturbing movie you have seen. [bluewaves]
Thanks a lot for openly sharing your insights as regards the topic of this particular discussion! Happy myLotting, bluewaves! ;) [acmepride]

it would be house of wax..and scary movie [bimal10p]
Thaks a lot for participating in this discussion! I truly appreciate it. Happy myLotting, bimal10p! ;) [acmepride]

i was reading through the responses you have recieved so far. what caught my attention is one title of a particular movie, SCHINDLER'S LIST. that i guess is the most disturbing film i have ever seen in my life. it has similar story line with V for Vendetta. i watched SCHINDLER'S LIST last night and i ended up crying. i haven't recovered until now. but i am amazed of one man's attempt of saving 1,200 jews from the brutal hands of the nazis. *sigh* watch it. you'll feel that there is still enough room for one more. [meekoh]
The Pianist, I must say, is truly equally moving, Savvynlady. It has a melancholic feel to it that really easily affected me. Thanks a lot for actively participating in this discussion and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

Hmm well being theres so many out there that disturbe me lately - but two actually stood out for me *War of the worlds* - with Tom Cruise - i cant put my finger on why tho! :( i think cuz its possible for things to just HAPPEN and ANYONE to enter our World without our knowing it - is VERY SCARY!! ( I DID however LOVE the H.G.WELLS story!) And *Hills have eyes* - mostly cuz my family & I travel alot and well... it scared the CRAP out of me that it COULD happen - u just never know what people will do! :( Im not much for desert *vacations* but still! XX :) [bizmom]
Given that it's been a looong time since your last post, any other disturbing films to share, bizmom?happy Thanks a lot and Happy myLotting! [acmepride]

I watched one last night, it was about this poisonous venezuellan spider that went about biting and killing a couple of people, some in their beds and it really caused a lot of panic in the population. Even the spider expert brought to investigate the deaths ended up dying himself from the bite-i can tell you it was a nightmare [academic2]
If I may kindly ask, academic2, exactly what's the title of this seemingly disturbing movie you're referring to in your good post? Who directed it, if you know? Thanks a lot in advance for answering my questions and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

well i think the most disturbing movie which i have ever seen is a hindi movie named shikar which has a horrible plot. horible actor and that is the reason it was such a bad movie. i think i have never seen a bakwas movie than this and i hope no one makes such a mistake [amitavroy]
It must surely be a horrible movie, given your clear description of what makes it such. Thanks a lot for your fine post and Happy myLotting, amitavroy! ;) [acmepride]

i am an indian.so i have only watched censored versions of scary movies.but of all those movies that i have watched i have to say that psycho was the one that actually made me scared the most. ALFRED HITCHCOCK is a brilliant director and the fact that it is a black and white movie made it even more scary.i was 15 or 16 when i watched it. the story and the ending shocked me so much that i couldn't sleep without my bedroom lights on for atleast a month.i haven't dared to watch a movie which others have said is scary for a long time. [casper20]
I must fully agree with you that Alfred Hitchcock is a brilliant director and psycho is indeed quite scary to say the least. Thanks a lot for your very fine post and Happy myLotting, casper20! ;) [acmepride]

Do you mean a film that grossed me out or a film where the subject offended me?What really disturbs me isn't either of those things, it is when a so called romantic comedy has the coulpe hating each other right until the end and then they love each other. It makes me livid. I would rather see a good action film instead [sarahruthbeth22]
Either or both will actually do. Frankly, I also find such films terribly irksome, to say the least, sarahruthbeth. A good action film, in such a case, would surely be a nice alternative. Thanks a lot for your much valued contribution to this discussion and Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

The most disturbing movies I ever watch is Canibal. I dont know the director because I watch it only 2 minutes when the movies started to view a very sadistic scene, plus many said that it is based on a true story.. I am glad that I didn't watch it full.. [afternoontea]
Thanks a lot for openly sharing the most disturbing movie you've ever watched, afternoontea! Happy myLotting! ;) [acmepride]

I thought the 1st Texas Chainsaw Massacre was disturbing, I watched it when I was younger and to this day cannot watch it again. It bothered me, especially when it said it was based on true events. Ewwwwwww. I also watched part of the 1st Saw the other day, and could not watch that, what a disturbing movie. [badkat83]
Both films are really very much disturbing so I fully understand why it bothered you perhaps as much as or even more than it bothered other people who've seen it. Thanks a lot for taking the time to participate in this discussion and Happy myLotting, badkat83! ;) [acmepride]

The most disturbing movie I've ever seen would have to be Strangeland. I'm not sure who the director is...but I can tell you Dee Snider is in it..from Twisted Sister. If you haven't seen it I don't want to spoil it for you. I'll tell you though it disturbs me because it is sooo close to reality. [starlight81]
bunnyhoover, thanks a lot for sharing that all important piece of info. Keep up the good work and Happy myLotting!happy [acmepride]

I have seen that movie named "HOSTEL" also. Lol, tht were good but disturbing. Do you want to watch these or just having some "good movies" for your friends to tell/show? Omg :D Kinda bad, I dont know if theres any other. Like, all classic horror films like psycho and all that. You know them, you watch them and you feel them. Horror lol. [Maketsuppi]
In response to your question, I want to watch the films that disturbed my fellow myLotters to essentially see for myself whether such films are indeed disturbing. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts and Happy myLotting, Maketsuppi! ;) [acmepride]

I'd say it was the movie "Die Hard" when bruce willis destroys a building from within. It was make in 1988? very distrubing. Now I rent movies, they are not so scary on the small screen. My kids hated Jurassic park, even when we rented them, they hid under the table!! [rachael5760]
rachael, I guess anything that conjures up images of mutilated bodies and terribly ginormous destruction caused by massive explosions is disturbing. Apart from the destruction of the building, though, are there other things in Die Hard that disturbed you? As for Jurassic park, I feel it may be natural for your kids to react that way, given that some of its sequence are really quite scary. Stay positive and Happy myLotting! [acmepride]

Trainspotting. I found that a very hard movie to watch. [bonbon664]
Given that it has a "dead baby scene," it's no wonder that you find it hard to watch, bonbon. Were you able to muster enough gut strength to finish the film, though? Thanks a lot for your sharing and Happy myLotting! [acmepride]

i do not know the director or else i would glady leave the name here as well... but the most distrubing film i have seen is HOSTEL for those of who whove seen it its pretty self explantory as to why if you havent seen it lets just say its more or so like a freaky low budget porn film with lots of corn syrup or whatever they are using now a days [beutfulmama6701]

I would still have to say that the movie "Seven" is the most disturbing to me. Sorry, I don't know the director. It wasn't about the movie being gory, it was really, to me the disturbing fact that someone could think of things that twisted and disturbing. it really just dug at the depth of inhumanity. [cassidy22]

I have a good disturbing movie called "Bad boy bubby" its twisted and deranged but good. The other movie is reservoir dogs by Quentin Tarantino. Although I like tyhe movie there is one scene which I totally did not like and that was the scene where Michael Madsens character gets a police man and tortures him and they play it to upbeat music and Micheal Madsens character is dancing around. It makes torture look fun and I don't think that human torture should be displayed as entertainment. It is disturbing. [chapcity]

I think it would be the movie "chopsuey" directed by Catherine Camarillo. I really hate this film its plot is really a waste of time. I mean it feels like that they just waste their money in producing this worthless movie. [twowizdom]

I have a few. But one of them unquestionably is Angel Heart. I went to see that movie and it spooked me. I had heard about Lisa Bonet in it and went to see it and regretted that I did. That was spooky. About a man looking for someone, but in reality it is himself. Sorry. didn't like it. Another film that disturbed me was the film Sleepers. I just cannot watch that film all the way through. About a group of kids that got sent away to this reformatory in upstate New York and they get abused terribly by this one particular man played by Kevin Bacon. I don't believe in violence, but to see him get his just rewards really don't hurt my feelings. [Savvynlady]

I got very disturbed afer seeing reqium of a dream!!! the movie didnt have much to talk about still the way it was made and connected was too good!!! I really thanked an angle in my life after seeing it!! [akacipher]

peter jackson`s`"heavenly creatures", though it`s one of my favorites. very lovely film, but incredibly BENT! [shmeedia]

with this question i would the jodie foster suspense film is the most disturbing film for me. i forgot the title. but it's the first movie of jodie foster that made her very pupolar. i saw in 1980 or early 90's. i can't remember the title anymoer. i think you will be familiar with this if you are a fan of jokie foster. but i love that movie. it has a very nice stlory but the story is bothering too and sometimes too violent. but i was able to watched the whole movie beause i was attracted to it. and i can't stop watching it. and i was breathless about the good story. it's one movie that i enjoy watching in my whole life. this is the best movie from all the movie jodie foster had made or starred into. hope she will be able to have another flm as great as this if not better than this movie. [jointoearn]

The most disturbing film for me is the "Cradle of Fear" movie. It is horrific and blood lust and gore. I felt shock upon seeing it. I did not even have thoughts of watching it again. [jarves]

I've never watched them and won't, but I'd vote for the "Saw" movies as being the most disturbing.. [flowerchilde]

There's a film called Gangster number one about a pathological nut job who wants to be the top gangster in 60's London. When it first starts it seems like just another gangster movie, but then you start to realise there is something really wrong with this guy. It's directed by Paul McGuigan and stars Malcolm McDowell as the main character as an old man, most of the film is a flashback to his youth. [nancyrowina]

Vic (Don Johnson), survivor of atomic holocaust, wanders hungrily across the bleak desert landscape in search of cans of food buried deep in radioactive ash. His telepathic dog, Blood (Tim McIntire) depends on Vic for food, but Vic needs Blood to find him something much more scarce: female companionship. The bedraggled duo eventually discover an underground society of survivors, called "Down Under," where they have reproduced the look of pre-apocalypse Americana but with frighteningly totalitarian politics. A cult black comedy based on the novella by Harlan Ellison. This film was directed by L.Q. Jones and it came out in 1975...I have been watching a lot of films lately as I am retired..but this movie is bizare..and funny to but the ending is a strage twist..parts are done badly..but overall i like this film...World War III was from 1950 until 1983..it lasted 33 years but world war IV lasted only five hours...but it was a movie that i really enjoyed. [asawako48162]

Mine is Clockwork Orange. 1971 film. It involves pure violence. It's very disturbing. But I do want to watch it again. [kebkeb]

I think I'll vote for Hostel. It's a Quentin Tarantino film about S&M, BDSM, Undergroun dungeon shows, etc. You should try to watch it but I must warn you. Some scenes are too graphic. Not for the faint of heart. [nvtellan]

I think Hostel is a very disturbing movie for me. So I am not going to watch Hostel 2. I think this movie is very sick because some people torture others for pleasure. This is very horrible. I love China [youless]

Salo or 120(?) days of sodomy. It's pretty weird. You should check it out. It's definitely not for kids and definitely not for the moral crusaders. It's sick. There's a scene where people would get arouse when someone takes a dump. There's also a scene where the people would let their slaves eat poop then they let it stay on the slaves' stomach overnight because it would become a delicacy. So the slaves will then poop then they will make big event with it as their main dish. The makes me puke! [modstar]

I would say, Wrong turn is the most disturbing and disgusting film I have ever seen. [bodhisatya]

acmepride-i will have to say passion of christ was very hard for me to watch and i have never forgotin it.it was the most real and sad movie i have ever seen.when jesus mother was wipeing all of that blood off the ground and from round his feet.and was in tears it just broke my hert i will never forget it.if you have not seen it you should really watch it . wounderful.i am not sure who the director is .sorry! [deedeehall]
No other than Mel Gibson. [modstar]

I think the most disturbing film I watched was "The Cell" I don't know who directed it but it had Jennifer Lopez in it. It was a bout a serial killer. She found a way to get into his mind and I am here to tell you it was obscene! I have not watched another movie as disturbing in all my life. I would never watch it again. I think I only finished it the first time because I was in shock. [JenInTN]

well.. dunno about disturbing but 'Requiem for a dream' is one of those movies which gives you a shiver through your spines... i would definitely recommend it to anyone who has lately got a liking to drugs..enjoy ;) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180093/ another movie i would recommend is "A Clockwork Orange".. got some real disturbing stuff in there..give it a try some time.. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066921/ [ralphido]

Just about any movie made by the Japanese Director Tekashe Mikke. His films include "visitor x" "the happiness of the katikuris" "Gozu" "Fudoh" "Ichi the Killer" all of these movies have been labeled as the genre "japanese ultra-violence" However, the most overly disturbing film I have ever seen has got to be "Irreverisble" Directed by Gaspar Noé . This movie made me throw up twice. It's a brilliant but tragic story. This film is very brutal and excessively realistic giving it an overwhelmingly disturbing effect. I really liked it, but I may never watch the movie again. [bunnyhoover]

The most disturbing film I ever seen to date is Quarantine. It gives me the creeps. There's something about that movie that totally freaked me out. Maybe it's the hopelessness because some people were quarantine and screaming for help, but the soldiers stationed outside the quarantine will gunned them down if they go out in the building. It's like asking for help but nobody cares. You are left to die and there's no way out.sadshockedwhistle [reckon21]

I don't watch really disturbing films, but one which gave me nightmares was "Schindler's List", Spielberg. I kept dreaming about the little girl in the red dress. [dawnald]

The Innocents, directed by Jack Clayton, 1961. This old film was based on The Turn of the Screw, Henry James' ghost story. I actually get spooked just reading the book, but I found the film quite terrifying. [jakill]

I was really freaked out when I saw the film "The Event Horizon" not so much by the special effects but just the idea there is a chaos dimension and what could happen if we accidentally opened it to ours, I don't want to give away too much of the plot so I won't say more. Hostel directed by Quentin Tarrantino is pretty disturbing too, as I bet there really are places like that that no one knows about. [nancyrowina]
omg i watched this movie when it first came out well over 10 years ago and it still resonantes with me, it still creeps me out so very much, solaris tried but failed to capture that desolution of outer space and nowhere to run and the mind playing tricks on you. very stellar choice *2 thumbs up* [mama_bear]

The most disturbing film I have ever watched are the following: 1. Hostel 1 & 2 2. Saw Quintiilogy 3. My Bloody Valentine 4. Martyrs (highly recommended) 5. The Midnight Meat Train Actually, I have watched so many disturbing movies in my life, & have quite a collection of it! [imacRuel1]
omg i forgot all about hostel, now that was some messed up stuff right there, makes you rethink backpacking around europe, wow people hunting sheeez! [mama_bear]

All those films that show people getting disfigured or dismembered -- eyes plucked out, tongues pulled and cut, grinding people then turning them into patties -- they make me sick!!! I could stand some gory films like war stories but not the ones that elaborate the maniacal activities of the mentally deranged that slaughter people for their demonic satisfation! Maybe a lot of moviegoers get some kick out of these kinds of films {that's why there are films like that!) but i find them disturbing. Sorry, i can't point out any particular title or director, there are just so many of them! Hi acmepride! happy [alexandra777]

I am very surprised to find that 7even is not included in the list.It is really a very sick sarcastic movie. And it would top any list you make of psycho or disturbing movies. [shummy]
As a matter of fact I did see the whole series. But unfortunately I watched it after I saw Cannibal holocausts. If you haven't seen it I would strictly recommend you not to see it. [shummy]

i would have to say saw and all the other saw movies that followed, i believe that they all have different directors. i swear the first time that i watched saw i thought that i'd be sick and half way through had to make myself a stiff drink to get through the rest of it. holy crapola, that movie is intense actually all of them are. now i love horror don't get me wrong, but well when there are things that go bump in the night and supernatural things and the mike myers and linda blair's of the world, that i can handle. the most disturbing thing about saw for me was that the big nasty was not the devil or a demon or some hellspawn, but it was a mere man, ordinary regular almost run of the mill guy. not a guy imbued with superpowers, nay just a normal guy, not mentally of course, he has this misguided notion that what he was doing was okay because he was helping people to value their lives as his was coming to an end and he wished that he had more time. what sort of psychopath spends his remaining days creating elaborate traps and schemes for people so that he can torture them into appreciating their lives. after going through that to be honest i am not sure that i would want to live, i would be so wary and afraid of people. what scares me is the things that people will do to other people. this character had no empathy or sympathy. i remember that somewhere near the end having that WTF feeling, i do not want to spoil it for anyone who has not seen it but would like to. some of those scenes are so brutal and gruesome, the directors and screenwriters must be a pretty f*cked up bunch. for those who thought that silence of the lambs or hannibal or red dragon was bad, you are sadly mistaken. this set of movies makes humans very scary for me, be afraid...be very afraid. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEYpIPVvzUc i hope this link works! [mama_bear]
omg how could i forget my most favorite movie repo! the genetic opera ha ha ha now that is a great movie and the soundtrack is off the chain check it out they even have a stage show, it was originally a stage show, like a rock opera musical. please check the link before because my discription cannot possibly do it any justice. actually i will tell you what the write up for it says, well some of it anyways here is a trailer of sorts that explains it and the repo industry www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzgpU25C6fg&feature=related www.repo-opera.com i happen to think that paris hilton is a vapid silly girl but in this movie she is pretty great and i love the outfits, check out this video that she is featured in from the movie the song is called zydrate anatomy, all other videos can be found by looking for them on youtube www.youtube.com/watch?v=odtH3SLNx-s [mama_bear]

I think one of the most disturbing films I've watched so far would have to be "An American Crime," a 2007 crime-drama based on the true story of the torture and murder of Sylvia Likens by Indianapolis housewife Gertrude Baniszewski. The movie stars Ellen Page from "Juno" and Catherine Keener. It is directed by Tommy O'Haver. Another disturbing film would have to be "Silence of the Lambs." That's got to be a given and I don't know why it hasn't been listed in this discussion. That movie creeped me out...cry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/An_American_Crime [steflane]

I have been a fan of gore, horror and other films that seem to disturb most people, but to date, I can honestly say no movie has even managed to make me cringe (does that me me wierd?) . I am actualy making a reply to this post to thank the few people that mentioned films I havent seen before. I have a nice little list written up of movies mentioned in this discussion and hope I can find them all. Thanks for starting this one and thanks to everyone that replied [Toxicon]

I'm not sure which one was the most disturbing. I think there have been several that have bothered me, but I'm not sure if they still would today. For example the movie "Lost Boys" scared me to death when I was a child. I hated the scene where the vampires bit the skinheads neck. As an adult I enjoy this horror comedy and don't find any of it disturbing. I remember in college the movie "American History X" upset me. I just couldn't get over the ending, but I won't spoil it, you'll just have to watch it for yourself. It was a good movie, even if some of the scenes bothered me... it was well worth it. [glords]

Zakhm movie of Ajay Devgan , Sonali Bendre , Pooja Bhatt . The movie was on hindu-muslim riots . Director : Mahesh Bhatt Another Movie was Black Friday of K.K Menon . The movie was on 93 Bombay Blast . [chaosgamer]

Flight 93. Because it was true. [debrakcarey]

Director Eli Roth made the sequel to Hostel 2. Story of 4 American women making a euro trip, but we're deceived into where they entered a chamber of horrors beyond humanity. Such of a place where these women are sold to those with extreme desires of causing painful tortures to the human body. This included acts of rape, lewd conduct, cannibalism, murder and various tortures not pleasing to the eye. One of the most gruesome and disturbing scenes in this movie was when one woman was tied upside down naked. While another woman who had fantasies of torturing her victims while upside down, she used sharp objects like a reaper on her victim, while she laid naked taking a blood bath of the human body. What ends up happening is since she continued to cut her body, the blood was flowing over the woman, she was pleased, tasting the victim's own blood and eventually the victim dies. There's a lot of other scenes in the movie that just make you go insane, angry or just wonder how if anyone of this world would do such a thing. Eli Roth sure does a freak mind to even direct such a movie or even tell a story behind it. [darkangel079]

There is an actor Called Vijay. He acts in Tamil Movies in India. Any of his movies is a disturbing one. Just watch the movies for 2 hours and come out of the theatre. You could witness atleast 20% of the audience turning mad. That is his effect. None can beat actor Vijay. Not a single movie but all his movies are Quite disturbing and you cannot afford to watch his movies. The best way to take revenge on a certain person is to make him watch a movie being acted by Vijay. I am sure he would come out of the theatre Half dead. [vinslounge]

as far as am concerned the most disturbing film is sixth sense..noone would have expected such a narration and climax..i was like struck for some 2 hrs after the movie got over on the climax..the movie was directed by manoj night shamylan indian born american..great movie to watch.. don miss it..have a great day [ddfreedie]

The most disturbing movie that I've watched is The Exorcism OF Emily Rose this was directed by Scott Derrickson. This is a true story of Anneliese Michel from Bavaria Germany, played by Jennifer Carpenter. One of this movie clip is that 3am is the devil's hour, this clip disturb me for a couple of months and even till now if i wake in the middle of the night i can't control myself to turn my head in the wall clock see if it's already 3am, this make me scared. [gracypure]

Have U seen the movie,HOSTEL its really very disturbing as i have startedd vomitting badly after seeing it.There are some Maneaters n how they started to eat a Living person,Its so BLOODY....I dont remember the directors name bt, its really famous [A_Shabina]

boys don't cry is the most disturbing film... [dzem867]

Room 1408 was the most disturbing for me. It's about this guy who lost his daughter to a disease or sickness or something and is quite depressed. Anyway, he investigates haunted rooms and hotels and places and writes books about them like a guide to the most haunted places. He receives this post card telling him about a certain top class hotel with the warning not to go into room 1408. of course, he goes into said room...and thats where the 'fun' begins. I found it disturbing and horrifying, i'm still quite nervous about going into a room alone. [kylina]

I guess the worst I've seen is Saving Private Ryan... i know its a war movie, but some war movies are quite exciting. There's just a part there when they let a German soldier survived until he's the one who brought death to all of them, and that one moment when the American soldier was pleading not to kill him and he still did struck him with his knife right into his chest while he's laughing... I saw something really evil on that part... I commend the director though for making it realistic and the effects are really nice. I have nothing against the movie, only some parts are really mature and horrible. Come to think of it, that's what happens in real life. [pickoy]

Hello My friend....The most disturbing movies are Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hostel, The Hitcher and Slaughternight....Theres so many gory movie that i watch but i cant remember them...Gory movies and Thriller Movies are one of my favourite...but of course im not mentally retarded i just want to scare myself LOL... [killerblowXIII]

i think saw is the most disturbing film, saw is another film with very violent scenes [geo_raju]

I had a friend give me some older VHS movies when we lived in Maine, one night there was a bad snow storm so hubby and I couldnt get the sattelite so we put in a movie. It happened to be one of these real scary movies. Truthfully I cant even remember the name of the movie now. But we sat there on the edge of our seats watching that movie, and all of a sudden the dang power went out. Our power stayed out for 3 days, during that 3 days I wouldnt even go to the bathroom without someone going with me. Finally when the power came back on we had to finish watching the movie, once we finished watching it that was it. That movie was thrown away it was just to scary to watch again. The movie was about these folks in a research place out in the middle of an island all by themselves. And this man had escaped from a ship that was taking him to a prison. He was a murderer that had tortured his victims. and then he would cut there heads off. No matter where they hid he would find them, the man was pure evil. It was like he was possesed. [pmbhuntress]

"Wrong Turn" scared the daylights outta me. [countrysun2sea]

For me the most disturbing film was "Antichrist". Firstly, the freely shown the sexual parts of the human body, secondly, by the end of the movie they show her cutting her clitoris with a scissors. I was DAMN! That was the worst thing you could see in a movie. Other bizarre movies were the SAW series. [merlin_002]
