With the development of science and technology, there are much more terrific movies coming. While the cost of almost each one gets higher than before, we've got to pay more to buy tickets while seeing films in cinema.
Nowadays, more and more people choose DVD player to see films at home rather than to go to cinema.
Which one do you prefer while seeing films, in cinema or just at home by DVD? Why?
Maybe you're too busy to see it in cinema sometimes.
On most occasions, will you go to cinema to see films or just use DVD player at home?

My husband and i watch a movie in the theater but because the ticket is already expensive we just use dvd rented from blockbuster. We can enjoy watching and eat popcorn. :) [happymom1]

It is really more enjoyable and fun to watch a movie ina cinema hall or multiplex...but I do not find much time. I see it on TV and DVD that too only quality movies. [dpk262006]

I love watching movies at the cinema.. but i don't necessarily have to watch everything that's playing at the time. I just pick and choose.. and whichever movies that i don't have the urgency to see.. i'll just wait till it comes out on tv or DVD.. [shemah]

I like to watch the movie at home. As going to the cinema is quite expensive and we also have to arrange the time for it. Whereas we can watch the movie whenever we like at home. [youless]

Hello,mexshyl,i will go to the cinemas when i really like that movie or i will buy DVD at home,for some movie,it will be better to go to the cinema because you can enjoy more as in the cinema,you can have better speakers and bigger screen.You may only be able to watch at your small computer screen at home. I have not been to the cinema for long time,the last one i watched in the cinmea was Rocky VI,i really enjoyed it. [easy888]

well if u talk about Pakistani cinema then i think ist better to see them at home because our people are nto making good movies, btu if u talk about anyother movies like english movies then i would love to go and see them in cinema if woth to see!! [abrarr]

i thnk there is no experience tht cn be compared wit the watching of movie in theatres. i regularaly visit theatres however if the show is housful or movie whose reviews hv com very bad thn only i will go for renting of dvd's. [fleur_petal]

Most times,I enjoy DVD at home.Though I should to admit that enjoying the film in the cinema is more formal than enjoying the film at home,but I would like to see a DVD movie at home with my parents or my friends,or just myself. I don't remember when is the last time saw a movie in the cinema. I think when I first bought my dvd player. And we much prefer it in our home for it' is much cheaper and we can repeat the movie if we like. I just cook their favorite flavor pop corn and put off the lights it's we like in the cinema. On most occasions, I will normally just use DVD player at home. It is more convenient and more comfortable. I think the habit began when the children were small and it was too much of a hassle to make all the arrangements to go out. I like the idea of beiong able to pause the video, or rewind it if I miss a bit. Plus, the popcorn at my home cinema is a lot cheaper and tastes a lot better! [Woodpigeon]

I have not been to a movie in the cinema for ages. I can't even remember when I last stepped into one, or what show I saw. But I do have many shows on DVDs at home, and I haven't got all the time to watch them yet. So as far as watching movies go, the cinema will just have to wait. [lexus54]

The price of going to the cinema is so outragous that it is plain not in my budget to go. If I want to see a moive I don't own I will go on the net and find it and buy it and watch it at home. I like watching movies over and over so I buy the movies I like to watch. I had more then what is in the picture but I loaned them out and they haven't been returned. [bwrattybaby]

we used to go to cinemas before when the price of the ticket was still cheaper. nowadays, we cannot do it anymore because it's too much expensive besides we will be buying snacks and drinks for everybody. it's no longer practical doing this so we rent dvds instead and just watch at home. watching movies in cinemas is becoming a luxury now than a leisure or plain entertainment. We never goto the theaters. We buy 5 or more DVDs once or twice a month and watch movies that way with snack foods to eat as were watching movies. We lock our doors turn off our lights and try to enjoy our night together without someone coming around reving up the engine or banging on our door to let them in. Even though we have a dvd player, we prefer to go to the movies to watch films. Its just more enjoyable for our family to do so. It can be a little expensive but its fun at the same time to see a new feature on a bigger screen, eating popcorn and other foods that we don't normally eat. This dicision is totally depend upon which movies are there are they really good ones then definately i prepher going to watch them on 70 mm screen when it comes to watch a movie on 70 MM screen i prepher going with my friends especially girls if not possible then i will prepher watching that movie on DVD coz i m having a personal home theater which gives me a feel of 70 MM screen suround sound etc. But movies which are 50% good i prepher not to waste money on them i prepher to watch them on DVD or i really don't watch them [SMOak99]
I honestly can't remember when was the last time I stepped into a movie house. Seems like ages already. I was even perplexed when I asked a friend about the cost of movie ticket. Its not practical for me. I prefer to watch DVD. But then again, I rarely watch anything nowadays. I normally buy CD/DVD for my girls to watch. [charms88]
I prefer to see movies at home where I can pause and rewind if need be and I don't have to worry about the annoying people that seem to sit right behind you talking loudly LOL. It really drives me nuts I wish those people would just watch it at home if all they want to do is discuss the movie while its playing. I would never do that to someone else and I find it EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!! I also cannot get to the cinema very often as there isn't one in the town I live in. I actually prefer watching movies at home and just using the DVD player. One reason is the time factor. Normally I only get a day off from work and I prefer staying at home during those times. It saves time to watch a movie in the comforts of your own home and it is also more comfortable - I can lie in bed while watching, I can pause the player if I have to go use the bathroom etc. Another reason is the cost, it can be very expensive to watch a movie and Sundays are often too crowded. Of course, when it comes to watching films with special effects like SpiderMan 3, it would be nicer to see it in a big screen. And so in such cases, we brave the crowd and watch it in the movie theater. But most of the time, I just rent or buy the DVD and watch at home. [denjie]

The last movie I saw in theatres was Pirates of the Carribbean 2. So that was what, about a year ago? =p I don't really get a chance to go to the movies because I have a baby and not many babysitting options. So I always watch movies on DVD, or on television. I used to really enjoy going to the movies, and I kind of look forward to when my son is older and I will have more chance to do so. When I was younger, I went to movies a LOT. Moreover, you can shout as much as you want without necessarily worrying what other people might think, lol. You have a point also that watching movies in cinemas costs higher as compared before.
